Kuranda

Our scenic train journey back down to Cairns – took 1hr 45min (Hannah slept half of it)

Hannah (awake)

Me finishing the last of Bill Bryson – Down Under

Coopers Creak waterfall – viewed from the train.

Barron Falls – it has a hydroelectric power station to one side of it which produces 20% of Cairns electricity needs all year round

Butterflies at the Butterfly Zoo in Kuranda. A caterpillar can grow between 27,000 to 40,000 times in size from when it hatches from its little egg.

A scene from Lost (in Kuranda)

Some Freshies in Kuranda

Yes it is a bench made from railway tracks & yes I look like a plonker.

SkyRail coming into Kuranda (top left corner) over the Barron River

Hannah on the rainforest walk

Walking through many of the rainforst walks. I felt really light headed due to the very quick accent from sea level to quite a few metres above sealevel.

Heading up over the rainforest on the SkyRail to Kuranda. The views were amazing!
